If you are a content creator or a marketer, getting good photos can help you get more visuals. As such, there is a specific mood or tone you may look for in the photos you use. And even when you get one, you will later discover that it does not have all the elements to enable it to convey a specific mood you may be looking for. Therefore, you may need to edit them using background image remover or any other tool to give them the right elements.

Of course, there are plenty of tools you can use to remove background online. Some are easy to use, while others are complicated and may waste your time. But selecting the right tool is critical if you are looking forward to getting good results. Continue reading to learn how you can change the moods of your photos by editing.

Creating Different Moods with Editing

The best thing about photography is that it provides endless possibilities for improving your pictures. It can help you develop great pictures to use in your ads. However, it is important to remember that If you allow 5 photographers to edit the same picture even with the same instructions, you are likely to get different results.

Thus, the mood of a photo refers to its ability to evoke emotions using a set of colors, lighting and composition. The photo’s mood refers to the emotions that a content creator wishes to enhance to make them stunning.

Transforming the Mood of the Image Using Photoshop

Although getting the right image in the camera can save you from the trouble of editing and changing the mood, there are cases where the photos must be adjusted and edited to make them gorgeous. In such cases, you’ll need to alter the colors and change the photo’s mood using two tools: Color replacement brush and Hue Saturation.

Color Replacement Brush

Once you select a color replacement brush in your photoshop, you may start editing them by changing the color to hue. Once it is in hue, you will be able to adjust it to any other color you want. The brush features a cross in the middle, which you may try to use. For instance, if the color your object features is not ideal, you may need to select the color to paint the foreground and the object. But as you do this, ensure that you don’t overdo or overlap in to the background.

If you cannot remove the background online, follow the same procedure to change it and paint it with your chosen colors. However, you must carefully select the colors because your choices determine the new mood of your photo.

Once you are through with the background, you need to look at your photos again and see if any of the colors have not been properly adjusted. If there are, you need to alter and adjust their hues to match with the rest of the photo.

Thus, color replacement brush alongside Hue or saturation adjustment layer will allow you to adjust the mood. Also, you may adjust the color of your object to suit your needs and make the photo more sensational.

Hue/Saturation

If you are working on contrast, luminance, and color saturation, in photoshop, Hue/Saturation and levels could be the only tools you may need to deploy to change the mood in your photo. Levels and saturation give better results since they allow you to effectively control everything you add or remove.

Note that Hue, luminance, and saturation have special attributes that make them ideal for use in changing the mood of the photo.

Hue- This is when a single color is cast. It could be orange, green or yellow.

Luminance- It refers to the amount of perceived color brightness. White has the highest luminance, while black color has no luminance.

Saturation refers to the amount of hue or the intensity of purity. The saturation layer will allow you to correct the mood by controlling luminance, saturation and hue. Hue saturation is, therefore, a way to make changes that leads to a particular hue.

For instance, if there are some greens in the landscape which you think are too green, go to the drop-down menu and adjust the hue by choosing the appropriate shade of saying color green, such as forest green.

Where to Find the Forest Green

You may find it in the adjustment panel or click on the adjustment layer button found in the layer panel and choose the appropriate hue in the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you may need to navigate the layer menu, go to the adjustment layer, and choose the appropriate color from the menu.

If you are using the earlier version of photoshop, here are the procedures to follow:

Choose the color channels to adjust from your drop-down menu. Here, you have the three primary and three complimentary colors to use. Also, you have the freedom to choose the single or master channel to make the changes.

To adjust the hue, go to the drop-down menu and move your hue slider towards the left to see your image’s green values if it is already in green.

Adjust the saturation by moving the saturation slider to the right and making observations of the effect of too much saturation. Moving the slider towards the left will show you how the green values turn into variations of black and white.

Adjust the Lightness Slider

The slider helps you to adjust the lightness, but if you find it destructive, you may need to adjust the lightness using curves or levels.

Thus, correcting both hue and saturation will make the image look more pleasant; ensure to move the channel slider towards the left while increasing the object’s color. But if the result of what you get is not pleasing, you may try to change the mood using the best AI background remover.
